Linking MetaTrader 5

MetaTrader 5 is the industry-standard platform for FX and CFD trading, used by hundreds of brokers worldwide. If your broker runs on MetaTrader 5, you can link your account to kinfo regardless of which broker you trade with.

Kinfo works great with MetaTrader 5! The integration enables traders on any MT5 broker to track their trading performance in a meaningful way using both the mobile app and web version of kinfo.

Linking guide

Kinfo connects to your account through your broker's MetaTrader 5 server. When linking, you will select your broker's MT5 server, then enter your account number together with the investor password.

The investor password is a read-only password provided by your broker alongside your main password. It only allows viewing trade history and account state — it can never be used to place trades or make changes to your account. You can find or reset it in your broker's client portal or in the MetaTrader 5 terminal.

About Security

Linking is done with the investor (read-only) password, never your master trading password.

• Kinfo NEVER sees, stores or has access to your real broker credentials
• Kinfo can NEVER be used to execute trades
• Kinfo can NEVER touch your money/assets or make any changes to your account

Linking your account

Select MetaTrader 5 from the listed brokers.

Search for your broker's server name, then enter your account number and investor password.

Track your trading performance

If you completed the steps above your account should be linked to kinfo and the platform will start tracking your trading performance.

When linking, the platform will initially import all history and try to calculate retroactive performance based on transactions.

Going forward, trading performance will be updated daily.
