Introducing Edge Protection, verified performance without exposing your executions

Edge Protection is available today for PRO+ members. When enabled, the executions behind your trades are hidden from every other user on Kinfo. Your trades, your PnL and your verified badge remain public and unchanged.

Why we built it

Kinfo's verification depends on transparency. Trades are imported directly from your broker and cannot be edited, which is what makes a public Kinfo profile credible in a way that a screenshot never is.

Until now, a public profile also meant a public order log, with every fill and every price on display. For many traders that is more than they are willing to show. A trade list reveals what you traded. The executions reveal how. They show where you scaled in, where you cut and how long you held, and given enough of them a careful reader can reconstruct your setup.

We have heard this most often from small-cap traders. In a stock with a few million shares of float, a handful of copied orders is enough to move the price against you. Once a setup becomes crowded, fills deteriorate and the move is largely over before you are in. The result was that traders with the strongest edges chose to stay private, and the leaderboard lost exactly the participants it should have had.

What Edge Protection does

With Edge Protection enabled, the execution rows on each of your trades are hidden from all other users, on both free and paid plans. Nobody else sees your fills, your prices or how you built the position.

The information that establishes your track record stays visible. Symbol, date, outcome, PnL and the verified badge are all still shown. You remain on the leaderboard and your statistics continue to update. Other users can see that you made 1.29% on AZTR on Monday. They cannot see the 22 executions behind it.

Verification is unaffected. The verified status comes from the broker integration and does not depend on what is displayed, so a protected trade is as verified as an open one.

Protection against AI bots and scraping

Public trading data is increasingly collected by automated systems rather than read by people. Scrapers and AI agents can pull every public profile on a platform, assemble a dataset of fills and timestamps, and train on it. The result is a model of how a given trader enters and exits, which is exactly what a copying strategy or a front-running algorithm needs.

A human reader needs patience to reconstruct a setup from a trade log. An AI bot does not. Once the fills are public, the cost of extracting the method is close to zero, and it scales to every trader on the site at once.

Edge Protection removes the execution data from what can be collected. A scraper that reads your profile sees the same thing any other user sees, the trade, the outcome and the verified badge, and nothing about how the position was built.

How to enable it

Edge Protection is included in PRO+. Enable it under Sharing options in your profile settings and it applies to all of your trades.

Retiring the lock tickers feature

With Edge Protection in place, we are retiring the lock tickers feature. It will be removed on November 1, 2026. Edge Protection covers the same need more completely. Instead of concealing a single symbol, it protects the executions on every trade while keeping the trade itself verified and visible.

If you currently rely on lock tickers, we recommend enabling Edge Protection before that date.

The hide trades feature is not affected by this change and remains available for now. It overlaps with Edge Protection to a large degree, so we expect to retire it as well at a later stage. We will give notice well in advance.

Who it is for

Edge Protection is not for everyone. If your edge comes from discipline and risk management rather than a specific setup, showing your executions costs you nothing, and many traders on Kinfo show everything. Edge Protection is for those who cannot. Perhaps you have a setup that works and should keep working, or you trade thin names where copied orders move the price, or you want to show a verified track record to a prop firm without disclosing the method.

You no longer have to choose between private and verified.
